1. Peter Guber. Peter is the CEO of Mandalay Entertainment. He is also has ownership interests in the Los Angeles Dodgers and Golden State Warriors. Peter says, “Dreams are the fuel of your future!” Read more in Peter Guber’s Linked In column.
2. Eleanor Roosevelt. Eleanor, the longest serving First Lady is quoted as saying, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” I think Eleanor would approve of schools like Walnut Elementary in Baldwin Park Unified School District and other schools who teach their students to dream big – Disney like big!
3. Steve Jobs. Carmine Gallo writes in a Forbes column about advice, former Apple founder, Steve Jobs gave Disney when he was asked for guidance related to their struggling retail stores. Steve Jobs advice: “Dream bigger!” Gallo points out “competing in the 21st century requires extra imagination, creativity, and drive.” That seems like a statement Jobs would agree with.
4. Pastor Rick Warren. Rick is founder and pastor of Saddleback Church. He is also the author of “The Purpose Driven Life.” Rick says, “The size of your God should determine the size of your goal.” See his blog titled “Dream Big!”
5. Kristi Yamiguchi. Kristi is the former Olympic gold medal ice skater. She is also author of the book, “Dream Big, Little Pig!” Kristi’s motto is “always dream.” Kristi believes big dreams can build self esteem and confidence.
6. Maynard Webb. Maynard is Yahoo’s Chairman of the Board of Directors. Maynard shares in his WSJ Accelerator blog, “Teach them (children) to dream big!” Maynard believes it is important for kids to know that anything is achievable regardless of their circumstances.
7. Reid Wiseman. Reid is an astronaut. Reid believes in dreaming big. He believes in stretching yourself. Reid shares, “if you never reach past the point of comfort, you will never know how far you can go.” Sammy Rabbit agrees. 8. Will.i.am Will.i.am is the lead singer of the group Black Eyed Peas. He is also a philanthropist and founder of the i.am.angel foundation. Will recently shared at the i.am.angel foundation gala, “I am here to let you know you can be anything you want to be…We need to rebuild America for those who dream big and have a sense of community.” Will.i.am believes in transforming lives through education, inspiration, and opportunity.
