“It’s a Habit” is delighted to share the Oklahoma State University (OSU) Service-Learning Volunteer Center (SLVC) will be bringing the Sammy Dream Big Day Experience to Oklahoma!

“This is a great cause,” said Joyce Montgomery, OSU SLVC, Coordinator. “We plan to encourage OSU students and other organizations throughout the nation to lead Sammy Dream Big Day experiences.  I really like the vision and opportunity for students to gain skills teaching other students skills.”

The OSU SLVC actively advocates service-learning to OSU students through a wide range of learning activities, including hands-on education, service-learning (curricular and co-curricular), internships, practica, and action research to engage the institution  with the community.

Service-Learning is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with  instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities.
