White House, California Community Foundation Announce Support for Scholars Savings Program
Leaders from the White House, California Community Foundation, Citibank Foundation, First 5 LA, the Utah Educational Savings Plan and many others announced their support today for the El Monte Promise Foundation’s Save for College Scholars Savings Program.
It was a wonderful honor for Sammy Rabbit to be a part of the College Savings celebration.
Above, Sammy Rabbit poses with Alejandra Ceja, Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics, Nike Irvin, Vice President Programs, the California Community Foundation and a class of El Monte Unified School District 1st graders.
Both Ms. Ceja and Ms. Irvin gave the students strong encouragement and clear advice to save for college. They also shared one of Sammy Rabbit’s message to students – “Dream big!”
The California Community Foundation was also proud to announce a major investment in the program and future of the young El Monte scholars!
